Hello and welcome to my blog! My name is Samantha Garrett and I am from Headland, Alabama. I graduated from Troy University in Troy, Alabama in the spring of 2010 with a Bachelor's in Elementary Education. I accepted my first teaching position as a sixth grade teacher at Honeysuckle Middle School in Dothan, Alabama. I thoroughly enjoy my job and the people I get to work with on a daily basis. My students are wonderful and it is my mission to educate them not just academically, but emotionally and socially so they may be successful, compassionate, and involved citizens in our great nation.
I have too many personal interests to name (as seen from my profile), but my main values lie in my faith, family, and friends. I have been blessed with the most AMAZING husband I could ever ask for, loving and sound Mother and Father, and two one-of-a-kind sisters.
I entered the profession as an Educator not to make "the big bucks" but to be a person with the ability to have a profound positive impact on others. I have been overwhelmingly blessed with the wonderful people who have influenced my life, and I see no greater reward than to "Pay it Forward" and be that positive role model in my students' lives.
